Course Overview
This Level 3 Award in Education and Training is made to provide a short but flexible entry point to Level 3 education and training learning and to help you become prepared for employment or further education within the education and training sector. This course provides opportunities for learners to develop a breadth of knowledge and understand of subject matter related to education and training topics and issues with a focus on development of underpinning skills, personal qualities and behaviours/attitudes essential for successful performance in study and working life. This strong base will support continued learning and development as an individual, allowing for further improvements in knowledge, understanding and skills.

When and Where:
This course has intakes available in June, September, January
Classes are taught through online learning on zoom.
Course Content:
- Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training (3 Credits)
- Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training (6 credits)
- Understanding the principles and practices of assessment (3 Credits)
How is the course assessed?
There are a variety of different assessment methods used within this course, including written examinations, reports, portfolios, essays, presentations and more. These are decided by Courage Consultants UK Limited and are reviewed annually. These may change from time-to-time, in order to maintain compliance with the ATHE assessment standards
Entry requirements
All applicants are required to be assessed by the admissions team, involving:
- an interview – to assess listening and speaking skills
- initial assessments – to assess mathematical and English abilities
All applicants are required to be able to demonstrate they have an appropriate standard of English to enable them to access relevant resources and complete the unit assignments, this can be:
- GCSE C/4 or above
- IELTS 5.5 or above (with no score dropping below 5.0)
- WAEC C6 or above
- Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) B2 or above
- Or equivalent qualifications
For applicants aged under 25, they are expected to achieve:
- 5 or more GCSEs at grades C and above
- other equivalent international qualifications
If you are unable to meet these entry requirements, you will be considered on an individual basis.
For applicants aged over 25:
They are able to be considered on the basis of previous life/work skills development that would make them suitable for Level 3 study
Certification:
On completion of the course learners will gain a recognised Level 3 award in Education and Training, awarded by ATHE.
On completion of this course individuals can progress onto further courses related to their career aims and interests.
