Course Overview

The Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care course is ideal for any individual who is currently working in or who may want to gain an understanding of working in adult social care and the adult social care sector. The course gives you the opportunity to learn about the importance of safeguarding, effective communication skills and working in a person centered way when supporting individuals. No previous qualifications are needed to join this course. However, it is recommended that you have some basic computer skills and also writing skills to a level 2 standard. Your dedicated tutor will be supporting you throughout this course and will be available for you to contact them via telephone and email during the course.

Course Content:

The course consists of a wide range of topic areas related to adult social care and will develop your knowledge and understanding of the skills needed to provide the best possible care when working with people.

  • Understanding Safeguarding and a Duty of Care
  • Equality and Diversity

How is the course assessed?

All learners will complete various interesting written assignments linked to each topic area of the course.

Certification:

On completion of the course learners will gain a recognised qualification and an accredited certificate from NCFE CACHE.
